Several employees at the Inlander, including me, won awards from the Association of Alternative Newsmedia. The contest, with submissions from across the country, is held annually to recognize the work produced by alternative news organizations. I felt extremely honored to win a first place in the photography category for news organizations with a circulation under 50,000, for a portfolio of work, including the image from the Galena Mine in Wallace, Idaho, above.
