Here’s a photo for the Inlander of boxer Jacob Szilasi, who turned turned pro as a welterweight after surviving cancer, working on a heavy bag. He convinced trainer Jesse Mora to work with him to become a professional boxer after finishing chemo. Mora was wary as Szilasi was still in a weakened state from the cancer and the treatment but worked with him. Szilasi is currently 4-1 as a professional with his only loss coming to a boxer with a 9-0 record.
